Hello everyone!!Today we are going to show the recipe of beetroot pachadi.Beetroot pachadi is a very good accompaniment for rice and usually prepared during onam feast in Kerala beetroot pachadi has light sweetness,sourness and spiciness.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Beetroot-1 no
  • curd-1/2 cup
  • grated coconut-4 tablespoon
  • mustard-1 teaspoon
  • cumin seeds-1/2 teaspoon
  • green chilli-2
  • curry leaves
  • coconut oil
  • salt
  • dried red chilli
  • water
DIRECTIONS:
  1. Grate the beetroot 
  2. To a grinder add coconut,cumin,mustard and grind it by adding little water 
  3. take a kadai,heat oil
  4. add the grated beetroot and salt and saute it well.
  5. into this pour the previously prepared coconut mixture.
  6. cook for some minute until raw smell of coconut disappears
  7. turn off the flame and add curd. make sure to mix the curd well,else there are chances for curd to curdle.
  8. mix well until the curd combines well and turns into smooth consistency
  9. now in a small kadai,heat oil and splutter mustard,dried red chilli and few curry leaves
  10. pour this over pachadi and mix well
  11. our beetroot pachadi is ready:)
