Today we are going to share the recipe of Kerala chicken fry.
chicken fry and porotta from thattukada (Road side vendors) are craved by almost every Keralite.

Ingredients:
  • chicken legs (you can also use any piece of your choice)-4 to 6 pieces
  • lemon juice-1 tablespoon
  • oil- for Shallow frying
  • Kashmiri Chilli powder-1.5 to 2 tablespoon
  • turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder-1 tbsp
  • black pepper powder-1 tsp
  • ginger garlic paste-2 tbsp
  • Garam Masala-1tsp
  • chicken masala powder-1 tbsp (optional)
  • salt-to taste
  • red food color(optional)
Directions:
  1. wash and drain the chicken pieces and keep it aside
  2. to a bowl add all powders(Kashmiri Chilli powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder, garam masala powder and food color),ginger garlic paste,lemon juice,salt and peper and mix it well. rub the mixture on chicken pieces marinate it to 2 to 3 hours you can marinate overnight for best result
  3. Heat oil in a a non stick frying pan and add the chicken pieces do not overcrowd the pan.
  4. fry the pieces on medium heat. Changing side occasionally,Until the pieces are fried and browned.Drain onto paper towels once done.
  5. repeat it for left over pieces.
  6. Our yummy fried chicken is ready
